BOYD
is from the Celtic and means light-haired. A small number of the ancient Hawaiians had a red tinge to their hair and these people were called 'EHU. It is an anthropological mystery how these people with reddish hair came to be a part of the dark-haired Polynesian race. The only other light hair known to the Polynesians was the gray hair of old age and this was called PO'O HINA or PO'O KEA.
